Service is Fun
Last week I helped put on a service auction for the ladies at church.
I took a basket of homemade caramel and Pink Lady apples (my favorite) that my friend won. (I won a day of free babysitting, so I was very happy with my prize).
Here's the dessert table that I concocted out of a treelawn crate, some twigs from my front bushes, some white-painted Wal-Mart gourds and pumpkins, and some inexpensive brown burlap (minus all the good Fall desserts---I have some good committee members to thank for those).

The pumpkins bars and pumpkin cake were so good too. I made some pumpkin sandwich cookies.Overall, it was alot of fun. I got to know people better at church and it was fun to see what people auctioned off. One lady even auctioned off herself as a singing telegram. Clever!
