So for the longest time I've had to use the dining room table to sew or work on any project. Well, all of that changed this weekend and I couldn't be happier! I finally have my own "craft room."
To keep little curious busybodies like this one out.
Travis built this little wall by the bookcase. Isn't he handy?
At first I felt kind of selfish taking half of the kids playroom for myself, but then I decided that I need somewhere to "sharpen my saw" and if "mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy."
So, there. I got my own room and I can watch the kids play while I work on my stuff.
That's what I call a win-win situation.

I love your new space and I can't wait to see all of the pretty things that come out of there.
I'm so jealous. What a wonderful idea. Keep the kids within view, yet they can't get to your stuff. I need that.
I am envious! Good for you for taking care of yourself and getting what you want, and more importantly, deserve.
Happy crafting!
I'm so jealous! I can't wait to have a house so I can have my own craft room!!!!!
Good move MAMA!!
I love that you can craft to your heart's content, while still keeping an eye on your cute kiddos. Smart thinking!
I like your work space. It's great. I'm just a little sad that our answer-to-prayers-discarded-desk-top-and-shelf-that-I-found-on-a-walk didn't get used but that's ok. The table is bigger and more functional (and less work for Travis to fix).
I'm feeling like putting all my kids in one room and making an artsy room. I think that wouldn't work but Jeff has a huge canvas in our bedroom right now, what do you do. I really really love those doors with windows though.
That is AWESOME - and you are so right - if mom is not happy, then no one is...cause if we do not have an outlet and take care of ourselves, then how can we properly take care of others???
Way to go!
