Usually I do one or two loads of laundry a day. Since today is a six-load-day I thought I would share some of my laundry quirks with you.
For instance:
I don't sort colors when washing. "Pour it in the pot" is my motto.
When folding clothes, the bulkiest items in the pile are folded first.
Underwear is folded last.
Travis' shirts must not be folded, but laid in a pile to be put on hangers.
What about you? Do you have any unusual laundering methods? I'd love to hear them. Excuse me while I go fold the laundry mountain on my dining room table...

I sort by whites, lights, darks, and towels/jeans. We usually have enough laundry that I can do that. Sad. I wish I could say I do a load or two every day, but I don't. I usually wait until Nathan complains about not having clean clothes or the kids need something specific and it's dirty. I fold socks last. I pile them up as I grab them, and then find mates for everyone's socks but mine. I don't care if mine are mated or not. Half the time my socks don't match.
I sort whites and colors. That's it. I remember my mom sorting blues, reds, blacks, ect...and it drove me crazy. I wash everything in cold water, I hang dry all of my shirts, and lay all of Spencer's out to be hung up after they come out of the dryer.
I also wash Hannah's clothes separate from the boy's, and Eva also gets her own load. I'm weird, I know.
I sort whites and colors. I wash most everything in cold water and hang dry a lot of our family clothes...shirts/jeans.
It takes more time; but I enjoy it.
Dryers wear clothes out too fast; and fade the color and since my kids are so tall...they stay in clothes longer if I hang dry them so the dryer won't strink any length off the shirts and pants!
you just rocked my world. you don't sort?
I sort...lights, darks, and whites. Darks on cold, lights on warm and whites on hot. I also wash all my white towels separate because I add a little bleach to them. A lot of times I wash the boy's clothes together, not sure why. Justin also likes his G's folded in packets...a nice little pack with a top and bottom. It drove me crazy when we first got married, but now I'm used to it. By the way, I HATE LAUNDRY!!!!!!
